About Sport Kansas City/Parkville

Meet Amanda Brockman-Newell, owner/operator of HydroDog “Sport” in Kansas City, Missouri. Amanda was introduced to the HydroDog family by Chris and Melissa McFarland, the Missouri and Kansas Area Representatives.

Amanda’s passion for animals along with Hydrodog’s mission to help save shelter dogs and its great business concept won her over. She’s always wanted to help animals in some way and HydroDog’s cause with its “Bathe to Save” events offered her that perfect opportunity to help make a difference and change an animals life.

Amanda is married to Mike Newell who has worked for Smithfield Foods for the past 10 years. They have been married since 2015 and have three four legged children together. They have two young cats named Hazel and Callie and an 11 year old dog that is a flat-coated lab/cocker spaniel mix named Lady that is their pride and joy! “Our animals love to be spoiled and rule our home and we wouldn’t have it any other way!” The couple loves animals and both grew up having four legged family members and couldn’t imagine a home without them.

Amanda completed her intensive hands on training at HydroDog grooming academy, taught by Becky and Jay Walker who have 30 years of grooming experience. She learned about bathing, grooming and the importance of safety for your pet. She will always put the safety and well being of your furry family member as her top priority. With Hydrodog’s one on one environment, your pet will receive all of the undivided care and attention. She wants your pet to feel safe, calm and loved just as she would want her own pet to feel while being groomed, and will do everything she can to make sure your pet has the best experience possible!
