HydroDog’s Bathe To Save Tour was the brainchild of three incredible kids: Bella 14, Austin 13 and Aria,11. These three are the children of Anthony Amos, founder of HydroDog, and his wife Rachel. As a family, they have always loved shelter dogs, and with this passion the kids saw an immediate need in the shelter with the number of dogs that are euthanized in shelters today. They decided they wanted to work hard and create a massive impact with a unique solution. So the Amos family took a year and a half off from “normal” living, left Australia, bought a 40-foot motor coach, and embarked upon a 50-state, 150+ city tour around the US to raise money and awareness for animal rescues. The family heralded the benefits of animal adoption by spreading this message: “Don’t Shop… Adopt.”
The facts are staggering: Every 26 seconds, a dog is euthanized in a shelter somewhere in America. The ASPCA estimates 3.9 million dogs enter animal shelters in the United States each year. It is also estimated that 1.2 million adoptable dogs are killed simply because there was no one to adopt them. In an effort to reduce this number we are visiting shelters and rescues, hosting events & fundraisers, bathing dogs, and promoting animal adoption. 100% of our event proceeds are donated back to animal rescue organizations across the country!
Now, the Bathe to Save tour is taking on a life of its own as each HydroDog franchisee commits to holding their own Bathe to Save events in their local community. The dream of the three Amos kids is coming to reality! Dogs are being saved all over the United States.
